INCLUSIVE CHEERLEADING SEMINAR IN SLOVENIA 16th January 2021
Second Inclusive Cheerleading seminar was held as an online seminar in 16th of January 2021. There were approximately 30 attendees present, mainly from Slovenia.
Following topics were covered in the seminar:
- Opening words (President of the Slovenian Cheerleading Association, Martin Tuš)
- Short introduction of the project (Project Coordinator Heidi Borg, Finnish Cheerleading Federation)
- Understanding and strategies with individuals who have challenges in movement (Asist.Prof. of Special Education, Department for special education, Tjaša Filipčič)
- Coaches' experiences - how to start and run an inclusive cheerleading team (Coach Sini Mäkinen, Funky Team and Coach Stefanie Brause)
- Methodology in inclusive cheerleading and how to adapt stunts and choreography (Chair Rick Rodgers, Paracheer International and Board Member Chantal Epp, Paracheer International)
